John Browning created the concept for the .50 BMG to combat aircraft weapons during World War I. It was initially developed for the .50 caliber machine gun, but the ammo was also used in rifles to target long-range objects.
While the real .50 BMG was effective on the battlefield, this copper bullet is made of pure metal and is not designed to be shot out of a weapon.
