{{/presale}}As competition heated up in the business of nautical shipping and passenger travel in the early 20th century, the British company White Star Lines found itself going head-to-head with the venerable Cunard Line, whose passenger liners were known for superior speed. To set their fleet apart, White Star conceived and designed theOlympicclass of cruise liners, meant to be the last word in both scale and opulence. The second of these three ships would be the most famous of them, theRMS Titanic, and its fame would be owed to the most famous maritime disaster of all time: the great liner’s own sinking, whose 110th Anniversary is paid tribute by the 2022 Proof Cook Islands Titanic 1912 1/2 Gram Gold Coin.
