Obverse
For the obverse field of the 2021 Barbados Trident Gold Coin, you will find the image of the national coat of arms for Barbados. The independent nation in the southern Caribbean Sea has used this coat of arms since 1966 when it was adopted through a royal warrant of Queen Elizabeth II. The field includes the spade-shaped shield with a bearded Fig Tree and two Red Pride of Barbados flowers. The shield is supported on the sides by the heraldic dolphin and a pelican. The date mark of 2021 is split as 20 and 21 on either side of the shield with small trident privy marks below. The field has a bearded rim design with additional inscriptions of BARBADOS and PRIDE AND INDUSTRY, the national motto.
Reverse
In the reverse design of 2021 Barbados Trident 1 oz Gold Coins is the image of a trident head. Just as featured on the national flag, this trident head is broken off the staff to symbolize the nations break from the United Kingdom when it gained independence. The design element on this side also has a beaded border with inscriptions of .9999 FINE GOLD, FIVE DOLLARS, and ONE TROY OUNCE.
History
The Barbados Trident Series comes with a new background effect on the reverse each year. These elements have changed from year to year to include hammered backgrounds and various wavy lines. This years background effect features radiating wave lines that change directions with each of the rings around the center.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days.
