The use of colorization helps create a unique visual appeal to bullion coins by bringing the design elements to life, whether those are animals as in this release or other elements. The sow and her four piglets have hues of white, pink, and black for the colorization. The application of this lacquer has no negative impact on the .9999 pure silver content of the coins.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2019 Colorized Australian Lunar Pig 1 oz Silver Coins is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is featured here in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, which is believed to be her favorite tiara among her crown jewels collection. Inscriptions include Elizabeth II, Australia, 1 oz 9999 Ag, 2019, and 1 Dollar.
Reverse
The reverse 2019 Colorized Australian Lunar Pig Silver Coins features artwork from Ing Ing Jong, the primary designer in the Lunar Series II collection since 2013. The reverse image includes a sow pig standing in left-profile relief with four small piglets in front of her amidst the grass. Inscriptions on this side include the Chinese symbol for a pig, Year of the Pig, and the P mint mark of the Perth Mint.
History
The Lunar Series II collection from the Perth Mint ran from 2008 to 2019. These 2019 Australian Lunar Pig Silver Coins marked the conclusion of the series and continued the use of the Ian Rank-Broadley 1998 design of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse even though all other major Perth Mint coin programs had switched to the latest sixth-generation effigy from Jody Clark for 2019 date marks.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
