Highlights:
Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins were introduced in 2006 by the United States Mint with the same 1 Troy oz .999 pure silver blank used for the bullion and proof coins. The burnished coins in different in the pre-treatment the blanks receive before coining at the mint. The blanks are rolled in a drum with a polishing medium that creates a unique matte visual. From here on out, the blanks are handled only by gloved hands through the coining and packaging process.
Obverse
On the obverse face of the 2013-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is Walking Liberty. This historic design was first featured on an American coin from 1916 to 1947 when it was the face of the US Half Dollar. The design features Liberty in left-profile relief walking from right to left across the coin. She reaches out her right hand toward the sun on the horizon with her left hand carrying branches of oak and laurel while the American flag is draped over her shoulders.
Reverse
The reverse side of 2013-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins includes a modern version of the heraldic eagle of the United States. This seal features an eagle in front-facing relief with the US national shield on its chest, the arrows of war in one talon, and an olive branch of peace in the other talon. There is also a triangular cluster of 13 stars above the eagles head.
