The obverse bears the Armenian coat of arms, its value of 500 DRAM, weight, purity, issuing year and the country’s full name. The reverse, showcasing the design by Eduard Kurghinyan, exhibits a flying dove with an olive branch along with Noah’s Ark floating the flood ahead of Mr. Ararat and the rising sun.
